At Salted Dogs, we know that one of the biggest concerns for our fellow pet parents is ensuring the perfect fit for their furry companions. We completely understand that anxiety, and we want you to shop with absolute confidence; if an item doesn't fit quite right, we will gladly accept returns within 14 days of purchase. To protect the health and safety of all our four-legged customers, we simply ask that returned items—for both dogs and humans—remain in their original, pristine condition. While we encourage you to fit the garment to check the size, it must not have been "worn" outdoors or for any duration beyond a quick trial. We can only process refunds or exchanges for items that are strictly free of dirt marks, stains, odors, or dog hair. Please ensure all original tags are attached and the product is lint-free before sending it back to us, so we can continue to provide every pet with a clean, high-quality garment.

1. Delivery Areas:

​

We deliver nationwide across South Africa using Pudo/The Courier Guy.

​

  • Main Centres: Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth, East London, George, and Polokwane.

  • Regional/Outlying Areas: Any area falling outside a 50km radius of the main centres listed above. Please note that deliveries to these areas may incur a longer lead time.

2. Shipping Rates:

​

  • Free Shipping: We offer free standard shipping on all orders over R1000.

  • Standard Shipping: A flat rate of R90 applies to orders below our free shipping threshold.

  • Regional Surcharges: While we strive for flat-rate pricing, extremely remote areas (farms, power stations, or remote plots) may incur an additional surcharge. If this applies to your order, we will contact you before processing.

3. Estimated Delivery Times:

Once your order has been processed and dispatched:
 

  • Main Centres: 1-2 business days.

  • Regional Areas: 3 – 5 business days.

  • Please note: We do not ship on weekends or public holidays.

4. Order Processing Time:

​

All orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days. You will receive a notification email with a tracking number as soon as your package is with the courier.  If there is an Out of stock on an item we will inform you immediately and offer alternatives.

5. Tracking Your Order:

​

Once your order is dispatched, you can track your parcel on The Courier Guy website using the tracking number provided in your shipping confirmation email.

6. Important Note: Volumetric Weight/Undelivered Packages:

​

In the courier industry, shipping costs are calculated based on either the actual weight or the volumetric weight (the space the package takes up), whichever is greater.

 

Why this matters: For items like lightweight but bulky jackets or sweaters, the shipping cost is determined by the size of the box rather than the weight. We work hard to package our items as efficiently as possible to keep these costs down for you.

Pudo/Courier Guy will attempt to deliver to your door twice. If no one is available to receive the package after the second attempt, the parcel will be returned to us, and a re-delivery fee may apply.
